  Spherion Jacksonville is seeking highly skilled and reliable HVAC Technicians to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with a focus on delivering top-quality work and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. System Removal Expertise

• Safely disconnect and remove old HVAC systems, including refrigerant recovery, dismantling ductwork, and detaching electrical connections, adhering to environmental regulations for refrigerant disposal.
  2. Ductwork Installation
• Design, fabricate, and install ductwork to ensure efficient airflow, including measuring, cutting, and sealing ducts to prevent leaks and optimize system performance.
  3. Copper Piping Installation
• Run copper piping with precision to support HVAC system functionality and reliability.
  4. System Installation and Calibration
• Install new HVAC systems, connect refrigerant lines, and calibrate for peak efficiency, including thermostat setup and system testing.
  5. Light Servicing
• Conduct routine servicing and basic maintenance of HVAC systems, diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs. …
  6. Electrical Wiring
• Manage low-voltage (thermostat) and high-voltage (compressor and motor) wiring, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety protocols.
  7. Pressure Testing and Leak Detection
• Use specialized tools such as pressure gauges and leak detectors to verify system integrity and optimal functionality.
  8. Blueprint Reading
• Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate system component placement and compliance with design specifications.
  9. Safety and Compliance Knowledge
• Adhere to OSHA standards and refrigerant handling laws, ensuring the safety of installations and servicing.

PM Skills:

• Strong attention to detail with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with modern HVAC tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.

Education:

Trade Experience:

1-4 years

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to perform full system change-outs unsupervised.
• Competence in running copper piping.
• Must own personal tools (specialty tools provided by the company).
• Proficient in basic servicing and maintenance tasks.
• Valid driver???s license is required.
• Background checks will be conducted.
