Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems, including heating units, air conditioning units, ducts, thermostats, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems by testing and inspecting equipment after installation.
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficiency, safety, and optimal performance.
  • Clean or replace filters, check refrigerant levels, calibrate thermostats, and lubricate moving parts.
  • Inspect HVAC systems for signs of wear and tear, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems, including electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, or mechanical failures.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as compressors, fans, pumps, or thermostats.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective repairs while minimizing downtime for the customer.
  • Advise customers on system upgrades and energy-efficient alternatives for improving system performance.
  • Install and configure energy-efficient HVAC systems and smart thermostats.
  • Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and wearing proper protective equipment.

    Qualifications
  • The candidate must be familiar with industry standards and practices.
  • An advanced degree is not required. The candidate should have advanced experience working as a HVAC Technician.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, refrigeration cycles, and tools used in the trade.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions quickly.
  • Precision in installation, maintenance, and repairs to ensure systems function efficiently and safely.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and explain complex issues in simple terms.

Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds.
