- The role you’ll contribute Installs, operates and maintains the organization’s heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems
- Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages
- Assist in operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems. Performs essential repairs and other duties as requested
- Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs all HVAC mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under general supervision
- Responds to in-house Work Orders and PM’s on daily basis, and in a timely manner
- Under general supervision may be required to respond to emergency calls
- May be required to take call in accordance with facility in a timely manner
- Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Maintains record ensuring compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standards. Responsible for keeping current on maintenance logs
- Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications
- The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Ability to identify equipment needs, parts and supplies, and maintain adequate inventory
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
- Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately
- Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies
- Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner
- Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form
- Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes
- Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment
- Basic Microsoft office computer skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- High School Education or GED
- Two years of maintenance experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
- Three years of healthcare maintenance
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED
- Apprentice License required in Texas only
