HVAC/R Technician Top Dog Home Services of Tampabay LLC Largo, FL 33773 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC principles and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. The HVAC Technician will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. Responsibilities Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices. Conduct field service visits to assess system performance and provide solutions for any identified issues. Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems, including compressors, motors, and thermostats. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs made, and parts used. Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, repairs needed, and maintenance schedules. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating units, and refrigeration systems. Familiarity with appliance repair techniques is a plus. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively. Experience in equipment repair and maintenance is essential. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
