Del-Air is seeking a skilled and dependable Lead HVAC Installer to join our team and take charge of residential HVAC installations. This position involves removing, replacing, and starting up air conditioning and heating equipment, ensuring quality workmanship and superior customer experience. The ideal candidate will lead by example in technical expertise, customer interaction, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installations of residential HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and ductwork.
Communicate job details to the customer and ensure clarity before starting work.
Conduct pre-installation walkthroughs and review work order specifications.
Remove and replace HVAC equipment while safeguarding the customer’s home and belongings.
Install and repair air ducts, indoor and outdoor units, and perform electrical work in compliance with code.
Complete light carpentry tasks as needed (e.g., moldings, attic access modifications).
Braze, solder, and connect piping accurately and safely.
Troubleshoot and replace defective components in HVAC systems.
Collaborate with Retail Sales staff on any unusual job site conditions.
Collect customer payments when required (cash/check).
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of company vehicle and personal tool inventory.
Represent the company with professionalism in appearance and communication.
Support special projects and perform additional duties as directed by management.
Ensure full compliance with all company policies and safety procedures.
Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC installation experience (preferred).
Qualifications
EPA Certification (preferred).
NATE Certification (preferred).
Valid U.S. work authorization.
Valid driver’s license (held for at least 15 months) and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
