Essential Job Functions Performs maintenance in a specific trade discipline on all City owned facilities and
operations by performing the following duties:
Performs HVAC troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on
various types of equipment including split systems, package units, rooftop units, bay
heaters, mini splits, etc.
Installs, maintains, and repairs ice machines.
Operates specialized equipment and tools related to the trade discipline.
May lead the work of maintenance crews at the worksite, ensuring that the work is
performed safely and efficiently.
Receives work orders, prioritizes, and distributes them according to division procedures.
Estimates project materials from blueprints and purchases necessary supplies.
Maintains records of all work performed.
Works extended hours, as necessary, during shutdowns of equipment and/or buildings.
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High School graduate or GED equivalent and four (4) years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Certification, licensure, or Associate’s degree in HVAC preferred. Experience in basic diagnostic and troubleshooting of building automation systems preferred. Must possess and maintain valid state Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.

Interchange Court Work Hours:

7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Additional Requirements
Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment. Additional Information Knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices.
