Job Summary Local Union 72-Ragan Enterprises is a seeking a skilled, Licensed HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems and the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues. The HVAC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients’ systems operate efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Install new HVAC systems, ensuring proper installation and adherence to blueprints and specifications. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment, including preventative measures, and repair equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, identifying the root cause and recommend solutions. Manage HVAC projects, including coordinating with other trades, ensuring timely completion, and staying within budget. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs, repair reports, and project documentation. Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are readily available for use. Ensure a safe work environment for themselves and other technicians, following all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to complete projects efficiently. Communicate effectively with clients regarding HVAC system issues, maintenance needs, and repair solutions. Work collaboratively with other trades, such as electricians and plumbers, to ensure projects are completed efficiently. Oversee and train other HVAC technicians, ensuring they follow best practices and safety protocols. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of HVAC systems and minimize downtime. Monitor HVAC equipment performance to identify potential problems and ensure systems are operating efficiently. Participate in rotational on-call duties for emergency repairs outside regular working hours. Skills Proficient in air conditioning installation and maintenance techniques. Strong knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and their applications. Ability to design effective HVAC solutions based on client specifications. Skilled in plumbing tasks related to HVAC installations. Experience in property maintenance with a focus on HVAC systems. Competent in appliance repair, enhancing overall service offerings. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of HVAC/R principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. $21.50 – $42.63 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
