This job maintains the total HVAC-R equipment throughout the company’s facilities. The HVAC-R Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, and performs Preventive Maintenance on a wide variety of Air Conditioning systems, Ice Makers, Refrigerators, and Freezers, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools. Education Required

- Class “A” air condition and refrigeration license from parish or the state of Louisiana and completion of accredited courses in air condition and refrigeration Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Ability to and experience interpreting and understanding blue prints, electrical and pneumatic control schematics and specifications. Analytical skills to maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC-R equipment and controls. Ability to work and experience working with little or no supervision. Ability to and experience with and able to properly and safely use all hand tools, including electric and pneumatic power tools, all testing equipment related to HVAC-R troubleshooting, performing Preventive Maintenance, and repairing Interpersonal skills to courteously interact with staff, patients and visitors. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Position may require working a flexible schedule such as nights, weekends, and extended shifts etc. and emergency call outs. Job Duties Troubleshoots and repairs air condition and refrigeration equipment, electrical and pneumatic controls, and mechanical and electrical systems. Performs Preventive Maintenance. Sets priorities, follows through with job duties, and interacts with patients, guests, and staff. Maintains and documents records, performs other duties as assigned.
