Summary:

Performsskilled work in the repair, construction, and maintenance ofvarious refrigeration and air conditioning systems, includingassociated air handling, control devices and equipment, heating,ventilation, chilled water distribution systems, chillers andenergy management control systems. Work is performed on rotatingshifts and/or set day/evening/night work schedules asrequired.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze building heating and coolingsystems and recommend modifications to achieve better operation andenergy efficiency2. Completes required documentation for recordsand reports in a timely and complete fashion.3. Conduct repairs andoperations of all systems on an emergency basis when working therotating shifts4. Install, repair and maintain various HVAC andrefrigeration systems. Install, repair and maintain pneumaticcontrol systems and associated components and equipment installedand used in the HVAC, chilled water, refrigeration systems andmedical air systems.5. Perform maintenance and operational tests onHVAC and refrigeration system devices, using equipment such asrefrigerant recovery systems and refrigerant pressure gauges.

Perform all required tests and maintain the HVAC systems to meetInfection Control requirements and respond to patient and staffcomplaints regarding heating and cooling problems.6. Perform systemtroubleshooting and repair of HVAC and refrigeration controlcircuits and equipment properly using a variety of electronics andelectrical test equipment, system and device drawings and airmonitor output and reports. Perform preventative maintenance andrepair of refrigeration, air conditioning and air handlingequipment. Perform computerized energy system monitoring. Record,analyze and use operational data of chillers in accordance withpreset parameters.7. Provide first response fire brigade anddisaster relief and support as required or requested.8.
