Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic I to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting plant equipment and utilities while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on equipment in alignment with cGMP maintenance requirements. Troubleshoot equipment/process issues to maintain optimal efficiency, solving a range of mechanical and technical problems. Execute non-routine maintenance tasks and support improvements across all site operations. Maintain accurate documentation for PMs, breakdowns, and equipment usage. Follow all safety procedures and regulatory policies. Assist with site-wide maintenance projects and support continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in audit readiness by ensuring proper documentation and compliance standards are maintained.

Work Conditions:

Exposure to noise, fumes, odors, gases, dust, and other environmental factors common to manufacturing settings. Work may involve hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, high places, burns, radiant energy, toxic chemicals, and risk of electric shock.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and perform tasks involving physical dexterity. Must have strong vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus). Operate production equipment, hand tools, computers, and office machines. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, glasses, and gloves. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs .

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Trade School or Vocational School education preferred. 1-2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical setting. Ability to identify and source replacement parts using manuals or digital resources. Basic computer skills including MS Office ; some experience with SAP preferred. Experience with manufacturing equipment such as:

Blenders, Sifters, Mills, Printing Machines, Dust Collectors Tablet Dedusters, Packaging Equipment Preferred Qualifications:

Black Seal Boiler License and/or HVAC Certification Ability to read electrical drawings and control diagrams Basic knowledge of plumbing and welding , including sweating copper tubing Experience with HVAC , compressed air systems , and troubleshooting via Building Management Systems Ability to fabricate sheet metal guards or simple replacement parts Experience with medium-level equipment: Compression Machines, High Shear Mixers, Film Coaters, Capsule Fillers Strong electrical and control troubleshooting skills , including the use of a multimeter Good interpersonal skills and a basic understanding of cGMP and OSHA regulations Ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders English language proficiency: Basic A2 level (CEFR standard) If you are passionate about maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and safety, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Mechanic.
