We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Hotel HVAC Mechanic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• The Maintenance Engineer conducts a daily walk-through and visually assesses the safe and efficient maintenance of physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, H.V.A.C and all other hotel systems and related equipment.
• Assists with all maintenance and preventative maintenance to include: heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, front and back of house spaces, A/C units, ice machines, lighting, emergency generators, roof exhausts, etc.
• Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time.
• Understands and practices all lock out-tag out procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Performs maintenance checks of equipment and logs properly.
• Reports all safety and security concerns to the Director of Engineering or the Manager on Duty immediately.
• Responds to all emergency situations prepared to assist.
• Participates in ongoing maintenance programs for event space, public space and Kitchen equipment.
• Performs inventory duties as required.
• Ensures cleanliness and orderliness of all work space and storage areas.
• Complete projects as determined by the Director of Engineering.

Requirements:

• Must have experience with HVAC, certified preferred.
• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs and maintenance is a plus.
• Prior experience as a Hotel Maintenance Mechanic.
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Furniture repair experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; this is a guest contact position.
• Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: climbing ladders, standing or sitting for extended periods, reaching, lifting, moving heavy objects, using hands/arms/legs to get into small areas to repair equipment.
