Facility Technician – HVAC Position Available In Chester, Pennsylvania

Job Description Summary We’re looking for a candidate with Commercial HVAC experience to help us sustain a robust preventive maintenance (PM) program on our RTU’s, chillers and humidifiers. This position is responsible for PM’s, inspection and repairs of all our RTU, chiller and humidifier equipment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work effectively with others and loves to add value to a likeminded team. Someone with a sense of energy, passion, honesty, good attendance, and personal responsibility.

Job Description Roles and responsibilities:

Inspect equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer’s specifications Diagnose equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed Perform preventative maintenance on equipment Repair all production equipment as needed Perform breakdown analysis Perform general housekeeping Work with outside contractors working on equipment Comply with safety, and audit standards Work independently under limited supervision (self-management) Document PM’s and maintain records

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Must adhere to all Safety and Quality Standards 2+ Years commercial HVAC experience to include: Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns, diagnostics, problem solving). Mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings). Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs). Electricity & Electrical systems from

• 480v 3 phase
• 24v control Knowledge of PM standards, inspection and repair Trane Precedent and Voyager rooftop units. Familiar with Trane Synchrony Building Automation System (BAS). Familiar with PM, inspection and repair of Condair humidifiers. Certifications
• A state license from the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board (OCILB) and the EPA Section 608 certification.

Desired Characteristics:

Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, etc. Pneumatics/air compression (solenoids, valves, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting) Preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data) Schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays) Product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs) Reading mechanical drawings (e.g., mechanical, electrical, hydraulics & pneumatics) Electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays) Basic rigging knowledge Must be ready to work in a collaborative team environment including non-maintenance personnel Ability to communicate effectively with the team/management Forklift and manlift experience

The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling The position may require weekend and/or holiday work
