Overview MasTec Communications Group is seeking a skilled HVAC / Telecom Technician to join our team. The technician is responsible for performing field service maintenance, remedial, and emergency repair on telecommunication and data centers, relating to HVAC equipment. Responsibilities DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintaining commercial cooling systems on cell tower cooling units – Clean or Change Filters, Coil cleaning and overall unit PM Check.
Test electrical circuits and components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
Layout and connect electrical wiring between the controls and equipment according to the wiring diagram.
Complete all necessary safety and technical training.
Inspecting HVAC systems (rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, etc.)
Cleaning components like coils, condensers, filters, and drain lines
Checking refrigerant levels and looking for leaks
Testing electrical components and thermostat function
Lubricating moving parts
Changing air filters
Recording maintenance logs and reporting potential issues
Calibrating systems for energy efficiency
Maintain safe work practices. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS and
REQUIREMENTS
Able to read and understand electrical ladder schematics.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Must have the ability to be on call and travel extensively for work when needed is highly preferred.
daily travel with independent work structure.
Able to work solo for long periods of time and with a project team.
Universal refrigerant card (include 410a) EPA 608. Types 1, 2, and 3.
PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft and internet products.
Understanding of telecommunications and data processing operations.
Compliance with
FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA
Regulations.

Traveling Monday – Friday and on the weekend as needed

Compensation:
$18.00 – 24.00 based on experience
