HVAC Controls Technician Position Available In Greenville, South Carolina

HVAC Controls Technician CD Mechanical Greenville, SC 29603 Overview We are seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Technician to join our team and play a key role in the commissioning, programming, and servicing of complex building automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, controls integration, and field commissioning with a focus on customer satisfaction and system performance.

Responsibilties:

Perform complex preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of HVAC and Building Automation Systems. Execute startup and sequence of operations on servers and controllers. Commission systems from server to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.), including diagnostics and troubleshooting. Load system-level controller software and calibrate devices using electronic test equipment. Analyze data from commissioning tools to optimize system performance and energy efficiency. Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members regarding job progress and system performance. Document field changes, commissioning results, and provide as-built documentation. Stay current on industry standards, tools, and programming platforms including Niagara 4, Tridium, BACnet, PLCs, and Ladder Logic.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry. Proven expertise in commissioning, programming, and integrating HVAC control systems. In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, control theory, and networking protocols (e.g., BACnet). Experience with Niagara 4, Tridium, PLCs, and Ladder Logic is highly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems in real-time. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
