Role PDW is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Team Lead to join our production operations group in assembling and testing world-class drones. As a critical member of the PDW leadership team, you will play an active role in the day-day manufacturing activities and initiatives that result in high-quality products. As a PDW Electro-Mechanical Assembly Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to work with world-class drone experts, assemble cutting-edge aircraft, and grow with the company. PDW team leads are a critical element in implementing and supporting the organizations high manufacturing execution standards and providing leadership to its core assembly workforce. Oversee, support, and coordinate assembly of drone electro-mechanical sub-systems and final assemblies Coordination with production management, material handling, quality, design engineering, and test flight operations to ensure product quality, line continuity, and efficiency Ensure PDW assemblers are trained and utilizing work instructions, critical to quality product characteristics, oversight for cross training, and adherence to established quality and work standards Coordinate execution of production to ensure quality product for on-time delivery to customers Collaborate with design engineering to implement engineering changes and new products by partnering closely with technical team, production control, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering. Oversee and coordinate the service and rework of products as necessary Direct management and elevation of issues, problems, and progress and partner with solutioning Leadership for safety and 5S within work areas to ensure a highly efficient and safe production area Ensure continuous improvement awareness and willingness to collaborate to improve processes Requirements 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred is within electro-mechanical assembly Associates Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering preferred or equivalent work experience Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Technician performing work on complex assemblies Experience assembling and troubleshooting drones, vehicles, or aircrafts is highly preferred A keen eye for detail working with small parts, assemblies, fasteners, etc. Demonstrated reliability, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to solving problems. quality environment Knowledge of Lean principles such as 5S, line balancing, problem solving, Kanban, waste reduction, etc. Experience using Microsoft Office products Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, with occasional heavier lifting Employee must be able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods, as well as push, pull, and maneuver carts and packages Manual dexterity is necessary for handling Loading and unloading materials manually, pallet jack, or forklift Work Environment Operates primarily in a professional, climate-controlled office, warehouse, manufacturing and shipping environment. At times, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety gloves, goggles, and hearing protection may be required. Employee will also work outdoors to load and receive shipments, where they may be exposed to the elements, including heat, rain, and cold. Standard hours are Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 3:30PM, with occasional overtime as operational needs may require.
