What You’ll Do:
Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safetythroughout the operation for yourself and others at all times inaccordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Repair and Maintain Plant Equipment. Perform repairs andmaintenance throughout the plant including screen changes, conveyorbelt repair and adjustment, wear parts replacement, crusher linerchanges, and water pump service. Perform cutting, grinding, andwelding as needed. Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections andmaintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, andcompliant operations, maximize production, and minimizeinterruptions. Monitor Processes and Materials. Monitor and review the plant,specifically various aggregate crushing, washing, and screeningareas, to identify problems and ensure safety and materialscompliance. Document and Record Information. Enter and maintain service andlubrication reports for the plant equipment used to ensureup-to-date preventative maintenance. Perform General Physical Activities. Perform various tasks thatassist with the operation of the plant, including cleaning,washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Skills You’ll Need:
Experience. Previous experience in the aggregate or constructionindustry is preferred. Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles andpractices of industrial maintenance, construction, or aggregateproduction is preferred. Flexibility. Must be able to work overtime and extended hoursdepending on customer and company demands. Must be able to workoutside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate beingexposed to loud noises. Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools,their uses, and maintenance.
