Mechanical Assembly Technician Alabama Specialty Products, Inc. 152 Metal Samples Rd, Munford, AL 36268 Job Summary for Mechanical Assembly Technician Performs any combination of the following tasks to assemble and disassemble mechanical components, subassemblies, products, or systems: Reads blue prints, work orders, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, or receives verbal and/or written instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Dismantles products using appropriate hand tools. Assembles and installs products using appropriate hand or power tools.

Experience of Mechanical Assembly Technician:
High school diploma or GED. Two years of relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Qualifications of Mechanical Assembly Technician:
Ability to learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Mechanically inclined with ability to learn assembling products.
Responsibilities of Mechanical Assembly Technician:
Works from schematics, technical drawings, and job layouts to plan and organize assembly or disassembly. Selects appropriate tools, components, and materials for assembly or disassembly. Lubricates machinery and equipment and repairs or replaces electrical wiring, circuits, and components. Replaces worn mechanical parts and aligns, fits, and assembles parts using hand tools and powered tools. Performs complex and precise product assembly to ensure accuracy and functionality.
