Full Job Description Position Overview:
Hi-Speed Industrial Service is seeking a skilled Industrial Motor Repair Shop Technician with hands-on experience in servicing electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and fans. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving equipment issues. You’ll play a vital part in supporting our customers and maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial equipment, including AC/DC motors, pumps, gearboxes, and fans. Test electromechanical components to identify and troubleshoot faults. Disassemble, inspect, and clean mechanical and electrical parts for repair or replacement. Reassemble equipment and perform final testing to ensure proper operation. Document service and repair actions in work orders and reports. Use specialized tools and testing equipment effectively and safely. Provide on-site service as needed and represent the company professionally in the field. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. At least 2 years of experience in motor repair, industrial equipment maintenance, or a related field. Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver’s license and DOT medical certification. Certifications and/or technical training in industrial maintenance or related fields are a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and work extended hours or travel for field assignments.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
