RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assembly of test and data acquisition systems, test fixtures, cables, harnesses, and PCB assemblies
- Logical layout and design of electrical shelfs / panels
- Provide technical assistance and collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems before, during and after assembly
- Modify prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct defects
- Test completed assemblies to ensure proper operation
- Obtain and/or maintain the following IPC certifications:
J-STD-001
specialist, IPC-A-610 specialist, and
IPC-A-620
specialist
- Follow and maintain company documentation standards
- Maintain and improve company quality processes
- Maintain inventory and maintenance of company tools
- Assure a clean and safe work environment
- Promote company goals and encourage continuous improvement through participation, teamwork and quality
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma / GED
- 7+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience
- 7+ years in systems build/implementation per engineering drawings, schematics, or wire diagrams
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Strong electrical assembly background
- Soldering background, assembly and crimping
J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC-A-620
certification
- SolidWorks
- Detail oriented and organized
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and ability to perform point-to-point wiring
- Ability to lead a team producing high-quality engineered assemblies and products
