DESCRIPTION
QUESTIONS
General Statement of Job Under general supervision, the position maintains water treatment plant systems and equipment. Employees in this classification perform skilled maintenance work. Position is responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of water treatment plant systems and equipment. Perform related work as directed. Essential Functions Performs preventive maintenance on systems and equipment in accordance with schedules. Inspects and troubleshoots systems and equipment; removes, repairs, or replaces component parts. Completes logs and records, documenting maintenance actions taken. Observes safety precautions such as lock out tag out procedures. Operates computer systems; retrieves/enters work orders for required systems maintenance. Picks up parts and supplies; coordinates with vendors and suppliers. Consults blueprint, operations and maintenance manuals, and other technical documentations to repair or adjust systems or equipment to specifications. Performs general maintenance on building and facilities such as cleaning and painting. Performs routine office functions such as copying, answering phones, and filing. Minimum and Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in mechanical maintenance or related trade; supplemented by up to two (2) years previous experience and/or training involving water treatment plant systems maintenance or related work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Special Requirement:
State of Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “B” Must obtain within one year from date of hire:

Heavy Duty Certification
