The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and building various mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, ensuring optimal quality is maintained. The position involves working with complex pneumatic systems and electrical systems that operate and control FDA Regulated Hyperbaric Chambers. Duties Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics: Following detailed instructions and diagrams to understand the assembly process and required parts.
Reading and following procedures:
Candidate will calibrate and tune pneumatic controls that operate a pressure vessel.
Assembling parts and components:
Using hand and power tools (like screwdrivers, wrenches, drills) and equipment to fit, align, and secure mechanical parts, subassemblies, and components.
Conducting quality checks:
Inspecting parts and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Identifying product defects:
Recognizing discrepancies and ensuring supervisors are notified.
Reworking or repairing assembled equipment:
Making adjustments or fixes according to instructions and specifications.
Testing completed assemblies:
Ensuring the finished product operates correctly. Experience with
Wire Harnesses:
Routing and installation of wiring harnesses.
Maintenance and Safety:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace: Keeping the work area tidy and free of hazards.
Maintaining machinery and tools:
Performing routine inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs on equipment.
Following safety procedures and protocols:
Adhering to company safety standards and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Other Duties:
Documenting assembly processes and reporting discrepancies: Recording completed tasks and reporting any issues or deviations.
Training entry-level assemblers:
Mentoring and guiding new hires on assembly processes. Communicating with team members and supervisors: Collaborating to resolve issues and improve processes. Meeting production deadlines and quality standards: Ensuring efficient and high-quality work within given timeframes.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives:
Contributing to efforts to enhance efficiency and product quality. Mechanical Assembler’s role requires: Manual dexterity and precision: Skillfully working with hands and tools to assemble components.
Attention to detail:
Following instructions accurately and ensuring quality in every product.
Mechanical aptitude:
A good understanding of mechanical systems and components. Ability to work independently or as part of a team: Collaborating effectively with others and managing individual tasks.
Problem-solving skills:
Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the assembly process. Requirements Experience in a within a manufacturing facility is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to stand for long periods.
