Shop Assistant Grills by Demant Atlanta, GA 30344 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various production processes, including assembly and fabrication tasks. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate hand and power tools effectively. If you are passionate about working in a small team environment and have shop experience we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Assist in the production of our high quality solid fuel cooking equipment, ensuring quality standards are met. Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed to move materials and products within the facility. Fabricate components according to specifications, following safety protocols at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and improve production processes. Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks, ensuring proper handling and maintenance. Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills related to manufacturing processes. Qualifications Previous shop experience is preferred but not required. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Proficient in operating forklifts and other manufacturing equipment safely. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and assembly tasks. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
