Mechanical Assembly Technician

Lawrenceville, GA 30043 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Special Production Technician to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly and final inspection of specialized gauges, ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the production process. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively within an assembly line setting. Responsibilities Assemble specialized gauges based on BOMs Assists in the prototype development and assembly process Assemble and produce technical gauges Builds prototypes in collaboration with engineering groups, ensuring they meet engineering requirements Supports and provides training in manufacturing areas as needed Maintains equipment and tooling Compares gauges to reference standards Packs gauges in preparation for shipping Closes orders in a timely fashion Assists in various areas of the manufacturing process to support overall production goals Performs ancillary duties as needed Knowledge and Skill Requirements Three to five years’ Mechanic or Machinist experience in manufacturing, or a related field. Three to five years of experience working with manufacturing process equipment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints Strong Troubleshooting and analytical skills with strong attention to detail Proven ability to quickly learn new technology and work effectively in a team environment Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse environment across various skill sets Previous experience building Proto-Type assemblies Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to understand and find solutions to challenges
