Covia is looking for a dynamic Mechanic employee who will positively impact the Operations team at its Junction City, GA location. The successful incumbent will have the following
Key Accountabilities:
Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on production equipment and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Examines, tests, and measures products from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms.
Makes preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, report findings to supervisor, and takes appropriate action.
Examines defects, analyzes spoilage causes, and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyze and record the cause of production delays on daily maintenance reports.
Conveyer Belt Repair and Regular Maintenance
Clean, repair, and rebuild pumps, cylinders, solenoids, and air valves.
Required to be on call on a rotating basis. The successful incumbent will have the following
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of Bearings Ambitious and self-motivated worker
Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
Must be able to cut and weld (stick, mig, oxy/act, plasma, etc.)
Electrical experience is preferred
Must be available to be on-call
Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools, read blueprints, service bulletins, etc.
Willingness to work rotating shifts or stay over shift if needed.
