Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to lead and manage our team of Wiring Technicians. The successful candidate will oversee the production of high-quality wiring and assembly components for critical industries, including defense, research, and aerospace. This role involves managing team performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Supervise, motivate, and mentor the Wiring Technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Project Management:
Plan, prioritize, and track labor and project progress to ensure timely delivery of custom cable assembly projects.
Training & Development:
Provide hands-on training and development opportunities for team members, ensuring they adhere to company standards and best practices.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor production processes to maintain the highest standards of quality and reliability. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IPC-620, J-STD-001).
Cost Quoting:
Prepare and review cost estimates for custom cable projects, ensuring they are accurate and competitive.
Production Oversight:
Oversee the wiring and assembly of enclosures, panels, harnesses, and cables, ensuring proper routing, labeling, and termination.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure team compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Experience:
o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in wiring, soldering, or a related field, preferably in the defense, research, or aerospace industries. o Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
Technical Skills:
o Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings. o Familiarity with tools used in wiring and assembly, including multimeters, wire strippers, and crimping tools.
Certifications:
IPC or J-STD certifications are highly desirable.
Leadership Abilities:
Strong ability to manage and mentor a team, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.

Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
Communication Skills:
