Discern quality of parts and materials used in production. Inventory parts and tools used in the assembling process. Test finished products for defects. Maintain the tools used to create products Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment Follow all company rules and policies, safety rules and quality standards Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Physical Demands See details of objects that are less than a few feet away. Use muscles for extended periods without getting tired. Work Environment Environment is a sheet metal fabrication shop. Worker will be subject to high noise levels and exposed to heavy machinery. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Sheet metal can cause cuts and lacerations. Metal is highly conductive of thermal energy. Burns are possible when metal is exposed to open flames or a heat source. Inhaling sheet metal dust can increase the chances of respiratory illness. Exposure to oil and grease is possible. Machinery such as turrets, lasers, press brakes, shears, saws, and mills can cause bodily harm in the event of improper operation or malfunction.
