The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is a key role within ouroperations team and provides an excellent opportunity to join ahigh performing, growing and forward-thinking manufacturingorganization in the defense and aerospace industry. Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Strive towards a culture of proactive safety.
Troubleshoot equipment down situations in the factory and diagnosescomplex equipment failures including mechanical, electronic, andhydraulic systems. By leveraging our PM program, support apro-active well-organized maintenance department that reactsquickly and contributes to positive plant operation metrics. Readand interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics. Maintain &repair large scale industrial equipment. Performs troubleshootingand repair of systems and components, as required. Maintainsaccurate records, as required. Perform detailed equipmentinspections and preventative maintenance following OEMspecifications. Interact with production operators and technicalstaff to fully understand equipment failures and identify rootcause. Review failure trends to identify and implement long termimprovements for process. Develop process adjustments when requiredto aid production. Work with operators to perform routinepreventive maintenance tasks. Works closely with other members ofmaintenance team on other various mechanically related facilitybreakdowns as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
10years’ experience in a complex maintenance role in a fast-pacedmodern production environment supporting various large scaleproduction equipment. Proven working knowledge of pneumatics,hydraulics, electrical systems, PLCs/Computer Hardware Control.
Working experience with CNC equipment. Solid experience leveraginga Preventative Maintenance program. Excellent mechanical aptitude -strong ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Abilityto multitask and troubleshoot equipment breakdown in a fast-pacedenvironment. In depth knowledge of general maintenance processesand methods. Complies with all safety guidelines and follows safetyprotocols in all day-to-day activities. Proven problem – solvingskills and ability to communicate with multiple levels of anorganization.
