(6am-6pm) or (6pm-6am) 2-2-3 (2 on, 2 off, every otherweekend) schedule as the normal shift Brief Job Description TheMechanic Technician is a direct labor position reporting to aManager/Supervisor on the Manufacturing floor, which supportsInspection operations. The position entails the execution of setup,changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance for all equipmentused in the production processes in variousClassified/Non-Classified areas, and performs the role of anInspection Technician as needed. It requires the ability to performmechanical and electronic troubleshooting in order to ensureoptimal equipment performance. The Mechanic Technician will alsoprovide basic mechanical training to Inspection Technicians andserve as a resource for the implementation of continuousimprovement projects. Primary Responsibilities Operate, monitor,troubleshoot, and perform maintenance tasks on various inspectionequipment. Work collaboratively with technical resources to resolveequipment issues as needed. Act as a first-line technical resourcefor the team. Provide technical support to production technicians.
Resolve equipment-related issues, including equipment start-up,machine recipe selection, recipe format set-up, critical sensorchallenge, and production issues. Proactively monitor equipment,and perform preventative maintenance tasks. Identify andinvestigate abnormal conditions and potential defects to preventunplanned equipment downtime. Perform technician tasks as requiredincluding start-up, equipment operation, manual inspection, batchexecution, material handling, rework, cleaning, housekeeping andline clearance activities. Operate light material handlingequipment (motorized and manual pallet jacks, non-motorized lifts)as the need arises to safely move, store or deliver material to theproper location. Monitor material quality of incoming, in-processand finished materials. Promptly escalate concerns to LeadTechnician and Manager/ Supervisor as needed. Perform batchrecords, GMP documentation, and CMMS entries. Perform mathematicalcomputation as needed. Be familiar with job-related safetyprocedures and hazards including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, humansafety, material handling, chemical handling, and spill controls.
Report all discrepancies to process facilitator. Perform workrequirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs,cGMPs, and established safety and quality procedures. OtherResponsibilities Support lean activities and process improvementwork such as performing 5S in the work area, participating inproblem-solving, and manual tracking of performance data for OEEand process improvement analysis. Lead Level 0 problem-solving onequipment related issues as needed. Act as a certified OJT traineron the team on assigned equipment or process tasks. Train andconduct evaluations on other team members for trainingqualifications. Review process documents such as operational SOPs,PM procedures, forms and batch records for accuracy. Identify andprovide suggestions for process improvement while maintainingquality and cGMP compliance as opportunities arise. Executeprotocols as required as a part of equipment qualification andprocess validation work Be flexible and support other work areaswithin the Process Execution Team as needed Perform all otherassigned duties with minimal supervision under the direction of theprocess facilitator or designee as needed. Competencies & JobRequirements Acquire and maintain all required certifications andqualifications for the assigned work area Strong mechanical andelectronic knowledge and aptitude Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills Capable and motivated to learn new skills anddevelop new capabilities on an on-going basis to contribute to thesuccess of the Process Execution Team Proven ability to workeffectively in a team environment Ability to interpret technicaldocuments Candidate should possess the ability to work in and adaptto a changing/demanding environment Some overtime may be requiredwith minimal advance notice to support business needs. MinimumRequirements Must have experience in a regulated productionenvironment, specifically responsible for equipment maintenance andperformance Must have the ability to effectively understand, read,write, communicate and follow instructions in the English language.
Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts, tooling, andmaterials associated with equipment maintenance and repairPreferred Background High school graduate, vocational schoolgraduate or equivalent Minimum three years experience in aregulated production environment, specifically responsible forequipment maintenance and performance Associates in Engineering ormechanical trade school graduate preferred Previous experience withautomated equipment Training in mechanics, hydraulics, andelectronics systems Knowledge of computerized maintenancemanagement system such as SAP Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN orother Continuous Improvement methodology Resilience is an EqualEmployment Opportunity Employer. Our target base pay hiring range forthis position is $24.00 – $36.50 per hour.
