Monday-Thursday,Monday-Wednesday Position Summary & Responsibilities TheManufacturing Technician III, (Packaging Mechanic) reports to aSupervisor or Manager on theManufacturing floor, which supportsPackaging operations. The position entails the execution ofsetup,changeover, repairs, and preventative maintenance for allequipment used in the production processes in variousClassified/Non-Classified areas and performs the role of aPackaging Technician as needed. It requires the ability to performmechanical and electronic troubleshooting in order to ensureoptimal equipment performance. The Manufacturing Technician IIIwill also provide basic mechanical training to PackagingTechnicians and serve as a resource for the implementation ofcontinuous improvement projects. 1. Operate, monitor, troubleshoot,and perform maintenance tasks on various packaging equipmentincluding picker, sorter, labeler, packer, checkweigher, printer,inspection equipment, palletizer, stretch-wrapper and conveyors.

Work collaboratively with technical resources to resolve equipmentissues as needed. 2. Act as a first-line technical resource for theteam. Provide technical support to production technicians. Resolveequipment-related issues, including equipment start-up, machinerecipe selection, recipe format set-up, critical sensor challenge,and production issues. 3. Proactively monitor equipment andcomponent level conditions, and perform preventative maintenancetasks. Identify and investigate abnormal conditions and potentialdefects to prevent unplanned equipment downtime. 4. Performtechnician tasks as required including start-up, equipmentoperation, manual packaging, batch execution, material handling,rework, cleaning, housekeeping and line clearance activities. 5.Operate light material handling equipment (motorized and manualpallet jacks, non-motorized lifts) as the need arises to safelymove, store or deliver material to the proper location. 6. Monitormaterial quality of incoming, in-process and finished materials.

Promptly escalate concerns to Lead Technician and ProcessFacilitator as needed. 7. Be familiar with job-related safetyprocedures and hazards including PPEs, ergonomics, LOTO, humansafety, material handling, chemical handling, and spill controls.

Report all discrepancies to Production Supervisor. 8. Perform workrequirements in a responsible manner, in accordance with SOPs,cGMPs, and established safety and quality procedures. MinimumQualifications 1. Prior experience in a regulated productionenvironment, specifically responsible for equipmentmaintenance andperformance. 2. Must have the ability to effectively understand,read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in the Englishlanguage. 3. Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts,tooling, and materials associated withequipment maintenance andrepair. Preferred Qualifications 1. High school graduate,vocational school graduate or equivalent 2. Our target base pay hiring range forthis position is $24.00 – $36.50 per hour. Actual base pay isdependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to,the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience,qualifications, skills and knowledge.
