To this end, a Utility Worker job description may include the following duties:
Essential Duties :
Maintain all areas of the plant clear of excessive wood and debris Ensure grass areas are kept cut and free of debris. Sweep walk-paths and empty all garbage bins throughout the plant. Production office areas that do not have carpet are to be mopped weekly. Breakroom is to be cleaned and restocked twice daily to include wiping down, tables, counters, microwave, sink areas. Garbage cans in the breakroom are to be cleaned and emptied once a day. Restrooms located in the breakroom building are to be cleaned 2 times a day. The restroom in the treating office is to be cleaned once a week. Restock restroom paper and soap as needed and check to make sure the toilets are in working order. Paint inside and outside structures as instructed by management. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as directed. Maintain the supplies and equipment needed for cleaning. Follow all health and safety rules.
Qualifications:
Must be a self-starter and work independently with limited supervision. Proven working experience performing cleaning and upkeep tasks. Experience in painting Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Have a good working knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety practices Must be able to read, speak and comprehend English language. Education and/or Experien ce : High school degree required Tractor experience preferred Forklift experience preferred
