Maintenance Worker Position Available In Dallas, Alabama

Maintenance Worker My Storage Selma and Tiny Home Community 606 River Rd, Selma, AL 36703 Will be a contracted employee. Will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds. This includes tasks like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs, as well as cleaning, painting, and general upkeep of the property. They may also be involved in preventative maintenance, inspecting equipment, and ordering supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance and Repairs:

Fixing broken items, repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, performing carpentry work, and general upkeep of facilities.

Lawn Care:

Keeping both properties well maintained.

Cleaning and Upkeep:

Ensuring the cleanliness of buildings, grounds, and equipment, including cleaning air vents, replacing filters, and hauling debris.

Equipment Operation:

Operating various equipment such as backhoes, street sweepers, and paint sprayers, as needed.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining records of work performed, inventory of supplies, and any necessary maintenance logs.

Material Handling:

Moving furniture, equipment, and supplies, as well as loading and unloading materials.

Safety Compliance:

Following safety procedures and ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Specific Tasks:

Replacing light bulbs, fuses, and filters. Repairing and maintaining doors, windows, and locks. Performing minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets. Assisting with the maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Painting and performing minor drywall repairs. Operating and maintaining power tools and equipment. Lawncare Installing and maintaining traffic signs and buttons.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to diagnose issues and determine the best course of action for repairs.

Manual Dexterity:

Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and climb, often in demanding environments.
