Position Summary
The maintenance employee will report to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsible for the general maintenance of facilities and equipment, ensuring buildings and grounds are neat and well maintained. Preventive maintenance should be practiced in all areas. Safety practices should be used in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Perform general maintenance duties for all buildings. 2. Perform upkeep and care of campus grounds. 3. Work cooperatively with team members. 4. Complete maintenance work order requests in a timely and efficient manner. 5. Use the purchase order process to place orders for parts and supplies as needed and maintain appropriate records. 6. Setup for all events in assigned buildings. 7. Maintain heating, cooling, and safe operation of all facilities. 8. Participate in opening and securing all buildings daily as assigned. 9. Maintain the integrity of the flags and hardware. 10. Issue keys and maintain appropriate records in assigned buildings. 11. Assist others in maintenance and housekeeping with routine duties. 12. Ad to and implement the established preventative maintenance plan for campus buildings and equipment. 13. Ad to and implement the routine service and maintenance plan for college fleet vehicles. 14. Ensurepliance with local ordinances for fire, safety, construction, and elevator inspections. 15. Ability to occasionally work outside of normal work hours for college events as needed and assigned by maintenance supervisor. 16. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
17. Assume all other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Qualifications

EXPERIENCE 1. A

minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. A minimum of three years’ working experience in maintenance or a related field is required. 3. A current certification, documented educational training, or an AAS degree in HVAC, Welding, Electrical or a related field is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to follow instructions and ad to prescribed routines. 2. Ability to make decisions based on correspondence, data or other information. 3. Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues. 4. Ability to perform various equipment repairs. 5. Ability to operate a wide variety of equipment. 6. Ability to read, speak, and understand oral and written information in English 7. Ability to work andmunicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds. 8. Ability to work with minimal supervision/ work independently. 9. Ability to operate in a professional manner at all times. 10. Conscientious- care about how work is done and desire to do a good job. 11.
