Experience Required:
High School Diploma. Minimum of 5 year experience in one or more of the following areas; plumbing and general knowledge of carpentry disciplines. Working/general knowledge of electrical / plumbing / HVAC / and carpentry disciplines within the facilities maintenance area. Must be Punctual and dependable, be team and customer service orientated; team and customer service orientated; ability to work as a part of a small team, read and interpret drawings, maps and plans, accurately read and record data, and follow verbal and written directions Reports to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time. Strict adherence to the Knight Enterprise’s safety, policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and customers at all times. Must possess a valid driver license.
Description of Job Duties:
General Duties:
Inspects systems and electrical parts to detect hazards, defects, and need for adjustments or repair. Maintains and repairs or replaces equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Climbs ladders, operates man lifts, scissor lifts, fork lifts, pallet jacks, etc. on a regular basis. Performs general maintenance under the direction of management and/or senior technical staff as required to ensure facilities are operating properly. Works primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors, stands for extended periods, able to bend over, squat, and rise while performing tasks, lift and set aside 30 to 60 lbs. Any other duties assigned by management.
Electrical Duties:
Working knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical systems, codes and safety practices. Hands on experience with industrial 480 3 phase, 277, 240 and 120 volt systems Understanding of predictive maintenance, standard procedures, Arch Flash, Infrared scanning, grounding, switch gear, disconnects, Bus Ducts, breakers, transformers, etc. Cuts, threads, and bends pipe, using pipe cutters, pipe-threading machine, and pipe bending machine.
Plumbing:
Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains installing sinks, toilets and tubs as required. Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using bolts, solder, plastic solvent, and caulking. Painting & Carpentry Prime and paint areas of the facility, wood, concrete or metal surfaces, and finished painted surfaces on shelving, racks, and equipment as needed.
