School Maintenance Yeshivat Torat Yosef Hollywood, FL 33024 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for both staff and residents. Duties Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Perform general repairs and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Oversee residential painting projects to ensure quality standards are met. Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Assist in the supervision of maintenance staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Troubleshoot issues with logic controllers and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents, prioritizing tasks effectively. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform various repair tasks. Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and residents. Experience in supervising maintenance personnel or teams is preferred. Familiarity with facilities maintenance best practices and procedures. Skills in residential painting techniques and materials. Basic electrical knowledge, including the use of diagnostic tools like an ohmmeter. Experience with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities is a plus. Ability to maintain a proactive approach towards facility upkeep and safety compliance.
