Janitorial Maintenance Worker Windmill Village at Punta Gorda, Inc 215 Rio Villa Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 Overview As a Janitorial Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of the facility. Your duties will involve cleaning and maintaining various areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces. This role requires a focus on cleanliness, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Essential Duties 1.
General Cleaning :
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors throughout the facility. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly. Clean windows, glass, and walls as needed. Dust and wipe down furniture, light fixtures, and other surfaces. 2.
Stock and Maintain Supplies :
Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and restroom products (e.g.,soap, toilet paper, paper towels). Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. 3.
Minor Repairs and Maintenance :
Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs or fixing fixtures. Report any facility issues (e.g., leaks, damaged equipment) to the supervisor. 4 .
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures while using cleaning equipment and chemicals. Ensure that all cleaning products are used in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain a safe working environment by identifying and reporting hazards. 5.
Other Duties :
Assist with any special cleaning or maintenance requests as needed. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the facility is well-maintained. Comply with any reasonable request from any member of management.
Qualifications:
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is a plus but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communication skills. Reliable and punctual.
