Maintenance Assistant/Floor tech Desoto Health 475 Nursing Home Drive, Arcadia, FL 34266
PS:
Day shift – 8 am to 4:30 – Tuesday to Saturday Performs routine manual work connected with proper maintenance of the building and ground area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the repair of building equipment as instructed by the Maintenance Director. Assist in the removal of refuse from the building and subsequent transfer to the dumpster. Sweep hallways every Friday and other days as needed. Performs other duties related to the maintenance of the ground area. Performs a variety of cleaning functions within the building. Perform other duties as assigned.
Floor:
Clean and maintain floors using appropriate techniques and equipment . Strip, wax, and buff floors as needed. Operate floor cleaning machines, such as buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums. Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Willingness to perform routine manual work which requires the ability to lift heavy objects. Willingness to work under all weather conditions. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Good physical endurance.
