Work is initiated and captured utilizing the Asset Management software WACS. Work is characterized by advanced manual tasks to include mowing, painting, waxing floors, maintaining buildings, operation of trucks and trailers, and the use of specialized equipment such as hand and power tools, pressure washers, pumps, jetting machine, and generators. An employee in this class may also act as lead worker for intermittent periods.

Applicants must:
Possess a valid high school diploma or GED equivalency. Possess and maintain a valid Driver License. Obtain a State of Florida Class “B” Commercial Driver License with Air Brakes within 12 months of appointment to the position. Have eighteen months of experience as a skilled worker in one or more of the trades involved. Be able to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. Acknowledge this position is designated as Emergency Critical (EC) and if hired into the position, you must be immediately available to the department before, during, and after a declared emergency and/or disaster.
Desirable Qualifications:
Preferred applicants: Have some computer knowledge. Are able to perform light repairs and maintenance of equipment. Selection Process
