Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an experienced Maintenance Worker at Hope Forest Academy in Paisely, Florida ✨ We are located on a beautiful 49-acre ranch-style campus where we provide services and care for at-risk boys ages 12-18. We have daily visitors such as turkeys, deer and even wild peacocks. We also have two lakes stocked with fish for both kids & staff to enjoy whenever possible. Make Great Pay doing good work! Life:

The primary responsibilities of a Maintenance Worker include but are not limited to: general building maintenance, minor electrical repairs, repairing drywall, painting, paneling, wallpapering, sheetrock work, hanging doors, adjusting/changing locks and door hardware, fixing or replacing broken windows and screens, hanging pictures, minor plumbing repairs, unplugging drains, replacing leaky washers, re-lighting, replacing and adjusting heaters and controls, maintaining smoke detectors and emergency lights, maintaining swamp coolers/air conditioners and generators, replacing floor tiles, carpeting, wood flooring and/or linoleum repairs, repairing roofing, some grounds maintenance & irrigation repairs if needed, etc. To be considered you should have Experience as a Maintenance Worker, be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must also be at least 21 years of age, have a desire to work with troubled teens and be able to pass a DCF criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test. The hours for this position are on-site Monday Through Friday 8am to 5pm . This is a critical position for our Group Home and will be on-call for any emergencies and occasionally expected to assist after scheduled hours and on weekends if necessary.
