General Maintenance Worker 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 15201 NW 79th Court, Miami Lakes, FL 33016 We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as our General Maintenance Worker. Work consists of general maintenance and conservation of the structure within and around the campus in compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures. AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.

Carry out maintenance work on the physical facilities of the campus and its surroundings in compliance with established policies, standards, and procedures. 2. Schedule visits to other campuses to perform maintenance work as required. 3. Inspect assigned areas to detect deficiencies, such as repairs, conservation of physical structures, garbage collection, water leaks, and pruning needs, and inform the supervisor so that the corresponding action can be taken. 4. Perform paint maintenance work on existing structures. 5. Ensure that conference rooms, lounges, common areas such as hallways, bathrooms, and other areas are prepared for any activity, as required. 6. Install and fix doors and mold and adjust lock devices on doors in classrooms, offices, warehouses, laboratory furniture, desks, and files, among other places. 7. Assemble and disassemble shelves, cabinets, and Formica furniture in laboratories, offices, and classrooms. 8. Recommend to the supervisor the purchase or replacement of equipment and supplies related to the area in charge. 9. Carry out moves and transport materials and maintenance equipment when required. 10. Responsible for the care, maintenance, and safety of the tools, equipment, and materials at your disposal to carry out the work. 11. Use the corresponding safety equipment to ensure compliance with the occupational health and safety rules that apply to your work area. 12. Comply with the provisions of the Mechanized Assistance Registration Policy.

REQUIREMENTS 1.

High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent. 2. One (1) year of experience in similar process. 3. Ability to express both, verbal and written, fluently in English and Spanish. 4. As a facility maintenance professional, establish effective personal relationships with the internal and external environment of the facility. 5. Possess knowledge of general gardening, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, joinery, masonry, and painting tasks. 6. Skills in managing and operating tools, materials, and equipment used to execute tasks. 7. Excellent teamwork skills.
