This position performs all maintenance service and repairs in the area of plumbing, painting, general facility maintenance including keeping office and warehouse buildings in clean condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs all maintenance service and repairs in the area of plumbing, painting, machine servicing, electrical or vehicle servicing not requiring licensed tradesmen. Maintains proper lubrication of dock levelers. Cleans, vacuums, dusts and mops rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas. Operates a forklift to empty wastebaskets, transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replaces light bulbs when needed. Cuts and trims grass, shrubs, and trees (indoors and outdoors). Performing tasks safely, accurately and steadily within the allotted time frame Striving for 100% internal customer satisfaction Striving for continuous improvement Identifies unsafe conditions and resolves or escalates to supervisor for instruction on corrective action Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not supervise any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience using common hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers. A minimum of one (1) year of previous experience operating a forklift at OSHA standards. Must be able to read, write, and speak English

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is continuously required to stand, walk, reach forward and grasp. The employee is frequently required to bend forward, twist, reach overhead, exercise eye-hand coordination, climb stairs, ladders and crawl. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, squat, pinch, exercise repetitive foot and wrist motion, finger dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, carry up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, as needed.
