06/23/2025 St. Louis Covenant Catholic Parish in Pinecrest, Florida has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Person. This position is responsible for the execution of tasks that support the operations, maintenance, repair and improvement of the grounds, facilities, and related equipment of all properties of St. Louis Covenant Parish. The Maintenance Person performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
High-school diploma or G.E.D.; or three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical or trade school coursework in building technology and/or HVAC a plus.
Basic knowledge and skills in some of the building trades; knowledge of construction and roofing a plus.
Knowledge of materials and installation of irrigation system.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the repair of houses, buildings, and/or other structures.
Ability to bend, climb stairs and lift and move heavy (up to 25 pounds) objects, such as furniture, props, portable stages, scaffolding and chairs/tables carts.
Good time management, including ability to manage several projects at the same time.
Basic PC skills required, including navigation with Windows OS, entering data into system and performing e-mail functions in MS Outlook.
Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
Must have a pleasant, service-oriented demeanor.
