Industrial Maintenance Assistant CDS Orlando, FL 32810 CD Staffing is a locally owned and operated staffing firm based in Tampa, Florida with locations throughout Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We currently have an opening with a large, well-known company in Orlando Area looking for a Maintenance Assistant Pay Rates is $26.00 hr – Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30PM
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Repair and maintain a variety of production equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
: Repair and maintain a variety of production equipment to include pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical machinery.
- Inspect and service electric and electronic controls, circuits and panels.
- Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wires and check and clean motors, relays, and contacts.
- Disassemble, select repair procedures and repair or replace worn or defective parts using hand tools and hand power tools and simple machine tools.
- Perform welding operations.
- Assist in moving equipment.
- Maintain preventative maintenance records and schedule on all machinery and equipment to include oil and grease of machinery.
- Maintain maintenance records on all equipment.
- Computer literate for recordkeeping and internet research.
- Active involvement in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Comply with all Company policies.
- Notify supervisor (or lead person) immediately of problems, concerns or questions you may have.
- Keep work area clean and free of hazards.
- Follow special job instructions as communicated by supervisors or managers.
- Any other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
: Basic knowledge of industrial maintenance.
- Must have own set of hand tools.
- Knowledge of metal stamping/fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of plumbing, piping, and electricity.
- High level of mechanical aptitude.
- Experience performing all maintenance on/around building.
- Able to read English as required for interpreting manuals and prints; and to speak and understand English to communicate effectively with co-workers in work environment.
- Safety and quality minded.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative
- Capable of working with minimal supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Fast paced, job shop and fabrication business.
- Noise, dust, dirt, heat environment.
- PPE required.
- Multiple and simultaneous priorities.
- Position anticipates frequent overtime hours.
LEVEL :
High degree of self-direction to establish and carry out maintenance schedule within unpredictable work environment.
