Semi-skilled manual work in maintaining and repairing streets, sidewalks, storm drains, catch basins and swale areas. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Removes broken and cracked concrete. Forms, grades, pours and finishes concrete; strips forms. Cuts and removes damaged asphalt. Levels ground with rock and replaces with hot asphalt and rolls it with a roller. Grades shell rock roads using loader or tractor with box blade. Cuts and re-sods swale areas. Repairs, maintains and constructs storm drains using power tools and heavy equipment. Cleans up canals. Maintains and services equipment.
