Position reports to the Director of Administration and the Chair of the Property Team.

Compensation:

$15/hour. Extra hours for activities beyond work hours (i.e., weddings, funerals, outside groups) will be compensated according to Trinity Presbyterian Church’s facility use policies. The sexton may set their own hours of 5 hours per day Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Responsibilities Planning and coordination of essential custodial needs, maintenance services, room set up and tear down for events, regular cleaning of windows, floors, carpets and walls as needed, regular cleaning and maintenance of church vehicles, maintenance of records for operation and of property and equipment, scheduling and maintenance on approved projects. Working with the Property Team, the sexton will help to plan and execute work days, schedule approved work, prepare the annual budget. Working with the Director of Administration and the Administrative Assistant the sexton will help to maintain a computer record of physical assets. Additionally, the sexton will obtain bids and estimates serving as the liaison for contractors and vendors and obtain approval before committing funds except for routine maintenance and custodial needs. The sexton is required to attend weekly staff meetings and shall serve as an ex-officio member of the Property Team.
