The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance. This role is essential for ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the maintenance team to perform various tasks that support the upkeep of residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs. Conduct inspections of facilities to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in the supervision of maintenance projects and coordinate with external contractors as needed. Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and troubleshoot problems effectively. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Execute residential painting tasks to enhance the appearance of properties. Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns and requests promptly. Read and interpret schematics to understand complex systems and layouts. Requirements Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients. Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks. Experience in welding is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with residential painting techniques and materials. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and tenants. Ability to supervise small teams or projects when necessary. Strong organizational skills to maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
