Full Job Description Location:

Lafayette, La We are looking for dedicated Maintenance Helper. As a Maintenance Helper , you’ll play a vital role in supporting our maintenance operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our facilities, equipment, and maintaining our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in day-to-day maintenance activities, including but not limited to repairs, cleaning, and equipment operation. Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to execute preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and machinery. Collaborate with the team to perform grounds keeping duties including lawn maintenance, removal of trash and debris, and provide support for renovation projects. Assist in inspecting facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and coordinate necessary repairs. Support the management of work schedules and task assignments to optimize productivity and minimize downtime. Participate in maintaining a safe and clean work environment by following established safety protocols and housekeeping practices. Provide valuable input on procurement needs, requisitions, estimates, and cost quotes, contributing to effective resource allocation. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, demonstrating a readiness to assist during weekends and holidays when ‘On-Call’. Perform all other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and the operation of common tools and equipment. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors. Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may require standing, walking, lifting, crawling & stooping, and operating tools and equipment. Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to creating a secure work environment.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

2 years of previous experience in maintenance or related fields. Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Carpentry experience a plus. Mechanical aptitude and an interest in understanding and working with various equipment and machinery. Ability to adapt to a variety of maintenance tasks and an eagerness to learn new skills. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be responsible and reliable.
