Maintenance Manager Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable General Maintenance Worker to support ongoing facilities maintenance operations for commercial buildings located on a U.S. military installation. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance duties including HVAC filter changes, light fixture replacements, plumbing repairs, and basic carpentry. Conduct scheduled inspections of building systems and infrastructure to identify issues or potential hazards. Respond promptly to maintenance work orders, ensuring repairs are completed in a timely and professional manner. Support HVAC, electrical, and plumbing technicians in higher-level repairs and installations. Maintain logs of work performed and materials used using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Follow all safety protocols and procedures, especially those specific to working in secure or restricted military environments. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and system servicing. Assist in grounds upkeep, and emergency repairs when required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general maintenance, preferably on commercial or government facilities. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be able to pass background check and meet eligibility for access to military installation.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and operate maintenance equipment. Stand and walk for extended periods; work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

OSHA 10/30

certification. Previous experience working on military installations. Familiarity with DoD regulations or Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC).
