  • Description:
  • A General Maintenance Personnel is responsible for thegeneral oversight of each building and its operational condition. TheGeneral Maintenance Personnel performs a variety of tasks in each of thebuildings owned by Evergreen Assisted Living in relation to generalmaintenance and upkeep.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Experience in a variety of general repairs and knowledge of basic building upkeep
  • Must possess a valid drivers license
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Physical Requirements
  • This is primarily a physical position, which requires the following: visual and auditory acuity within normal limits; fine hand coordination; ability to endure frequent standing for extended periods, walking and moderate to heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a variety of conditions, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing and balancing, some kneeling, crouching, reaching, etc
  • When applicable, ability to drive an automobile or arrange a consistent method of transportation
  • Ability to read and write with or without visual aids.
  • Essential Functions
  • The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Moves and arranges furniture and equipment, performs room set ups and tear downs as necessary
  • Replaces light bulbs
  • Help to maintain building security
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance logs, mileage usage, minor repairs if applicable.
  • Performs basic maintenance work on buildings and equipment including non-complex electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
  • Operates and performs basic maintenance on any equipment on-site.
  • Operates hand and power tools.
  • Transports and delivers materials and equipment between various locations.
  • Orders and Maintains maintenance supplies
  • Lifts and carries objects as requested by house personnel.
  • Maintains basic yardwork and grounds upkeep in all seasons.
