Job Description:
The Client is seeking a Water Maintenance Technician to supportthe operation, maintenance and repair of the City’s waterproduction and distribution systems. This hands-on positioninvolves operating equipment, repairing water mains, maintainingtreatment basins and grounds and supporting various constructionand maintenance tasks to ensure continuous and efficient waterservice to the community.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience inconstruction or outdoor maintenance , particularly in water/sewerline work. Familiarity with engine-driven tools (chainsaws, pumps,compressors, etc.). Comfort working with two-cycle engines , pipecutting/measuring tools and other common construction equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Must have some experience ingroundskeeping, general maintenance or construction labor. Mustpossess and maintain a valid Missouri driver’s license . Ability toperform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
Capable of shift work, weekends, holidays, mandatory overtime and24-hour emergency calls.
Skills & Abilities:
Operate and adjust avariety of tools and machinery safely and effectively. Interpretwork orders, blueprints, maps and safety regulations. Perform basicmath (addition, subtraction, percentages, etc.). Communicateclearly with supervisors and team members. Follow oral and writteninstructions and safety protocols.
Work Conditions & Benefits:
Workis primarily outdoors and physically demanding. Eligible for shiftdifferentials (1% for evenings/nights/weekends). Union positionwith career advancement opportunities.
