Job Description
Will perform mowing and weed control duties using mowers, trimmers and other related tools, plant grass, shrubbery, flowers, trees and other plants for the purpose of keeping the grounds attractive and protecting against erosion, water lawns, trees or plants, use sprinkler systems, hoses or other methods. Maintain groundskeeping and maintenance equipment to ensure proper function and availability. Apply fertilizers, herbicides or insecticides onto grass, shrubs or trees etc. Will remove debris from landscaped and related areas to prevent flooding and other hazards, assist with preparing grounds for outdoor special events, respond to emergency call outs and capability of working during all weather conditions, participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and city government goals, provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill and perform other duties assigned. Must live within 6 miles of Cleveland, MS. Must show proof of valid drivers license Will be maintaining Park Commission areas.
